Alfa Romeo GTAm 2000, 1972
This GTAm replica was constructed for racing in 2018. The owner did use a 1972 Alfa Romeo 2000GT Veloce as the basis for his racing-car.
The car was prepared as Group-2 racing-car, according to appendix J of the 1971 FIA regulations and the current Appendix-K. The engine is a wide-head model equipped with 2 Weber 45-DCOE side-draft carburetors, delivering 190 HP at 7000 rpm.
Further specifications are : straight-cut dog-leg gearbox, 9/43 final drive, original Autodelta rear axle casing, Bilstein adjustable shocks, race springs, dual brake master cylinder, dual fuelpumps and 6-point roll cage.
The car was raced in several Historic Endurance events with great success and several podium finishes.
It is now offered for sale with a fresh engine with only one hour on it. It comes from a private owner, with EEC documents and a spare gearbox.
