Ford GT40 CVV, 2005.

One of few cars constructed by South African manufacturer Cape Cobra Vehicles. Based on square-tube chassis frame with aluminium plating and with fibreglass bodywork. Imported into Germany for homologation and road-registration.

The collector who bought the car in 2005 intended to use it as fast roadcar and for racing in non-FIA sanctioned events. Still he decided to send the car to the UK to have it modifed by various specialist to more exact specifications. This included fitting correct GT40 wheels and correct 430 HP stroker engine. Also conversion with GTD rear-suspension in order to fit correct ZF-RBT 5-speed gearbox with limited slip unit and Brembo brake callipers.

After racing the car for a while the owner decided the car was good enough for more horsepower and a small block 363 cubic inch racing-engine with 48 down-draft Webers was fitted. That engine had 527 HP on the dyno.

Now the owner has decided to offer the car for sale, due to personal circumstances. The car comes with some spares and EEC oldtimer road-registration.

Since fitting the new engine the car had only 2 hour of testing done!
