This is one of only 50 Siata 300BC Spiders that were made by Siata, starting production in 1951. Bodies were made for Siata by Bertone and Motto, this being one of the Bertone bodied cars.
As it seems this car was sold new without engine and gearbox. This was a common pratice with some of the 300BC's as it was up to the mostly American buyers to fit the popular Crosley engine or the larger and more powerfull Fiat 1100 for racing purpose. At one point this car had been fitted with the Fiat 1100 engine.
This car was imported from Amerika around 2005 and came via an Italian owner to Holland and Belgium. It had been overhauled and prepared for historic events and comes with a Class A3 FIVA passport. This car performs very well and is eligible for all the major classic events.
