This Ghibli SS was produced in May 1970 in Rosso Rubino metallic with black leather interior. It was sold through Maserati Agent Ruf to the first Swiss owner.
In 1974 the car was purchased in Switzerland by Dutch industrialist Dries van der Lof and imported into Holland. Dries Van der Lof was a vivid racing-enthusiast and he raced with one of John Heath's HWM-Alta's in the 1952 Dutch Grand Prix amongst Stirling Moss, Alberto Ascari, Jean Behra and other great drivers. Later Mr. van der Lof became one of Holland's foremost car-collectors and historic racers.
In 1983 this car was purchased by the present Dutch family. The car was used for many long trips abroad and it was always well-maintained. Today it is in very original and well-driving condition and was only repainted once in the same original colour.
